Opera star Shan Cothi's equine trek in husband's memory

OPERA singer and actress Shân Cothi is to take part in a marathon 300-mile horse ride to raise awareness of the cancer which killed her husband.

Justin Smith was an exceptional man who sadly died at the young age of 42 from Pancreatic Cancer. He was regarded a talented TV director and editor and many knew him as Pepsi Tate from the notorious glam rock band Tigertailz. He was a daring, sweet, funny, highly intelligent gentle giant. He was many things to many people and is sorely missed by all who knew him. His widow Shân Cothi, and close friends have set up this registered charity in his name to raise awareness of this cruel disease. The money raised will provide care and support for pancreatic cancer patients and their families in Wales, as well as funding the medical profession for investigation and research into pancreatic cancer.

Shân leads this charity to help save others from their suffering - just in time.
